Where do you need help?

Embodiment, Body Image & Self-Nourishment

Practicing mindfulness is a way of bringing yourself back to your body and what you are actually feeling. When you are driving a car you are driving a car, washing dishes only washing dishes. Eating a sandwich, just doing that. We learn to disengage the autopilot in our heads. We learn to experience the world directly without the constant commentary. We actually learn to witness our thoughts as mental events that go by in the sky like clouds and we stop taking them literally or personally. And when we learn to do this, our anxiety and depression are alleviated. There is no anxiety or fear in the present moment.

Creative Healing Expressions

Many people reach a point in their lives where old habits of managing thoughts and feelings no longer work.  We are mistakenly led to believe that a frenzy of activity will quiet our unrest; however what lies beneath is a range of psychological challenges such as depression, overwhelming stress and anxiety, panic attacks, perfectionism and addictions. Suppressing emotion simply makes life more difficult and hinders our relationships. By talking about those thoughts and feelings, you can free yourself from their crippling effects. This session could help you identify the ways that you undermine yourself in relationships and professional life.  Through the creative expression healing process, you can rebuild confidence, develop loving and satisfying connections with others, and be in attunement with your wisdom. Art is healing! We will be using intuitive painting  techniques, healing collages, and more...

Radical Recovery! Substance & Alcohol Use

Awareness within oneself allows for exploration, problem solving and healing.  Sometimes life situations create a block to our inner awareness, which results in a misalignment of the connections between mind, thought, emotion, behavior and body.  When this happens we often tend to become emotionally reactive, operating outside the window of tolerance, developing a sense of unease and lack of balance, manifesting in depression, anxiety and emotional disconnect. Together we work towards restoring balance, creating ease and developing the sense of inner awareness.  We cultivate curiosity and restore a sense of self, being mindful of the present moment while exploring the past.  We begin to understand and identify emotions and body sensations, discovering the roots and uncovering the origins. While most healing techniques focus on self-awareness and insight, sometimes it is necessary to use behavioral interventions as well.  Integrative sessions offer strategies that promote change.

Radical Self-Care & Sacred Rituals

Stress in life is inevitable.  Sometimes these stressors overwhelm a person’s capacity to cope and symptoms of depression, anxiety, panic and anger develop.  There is often a sense of aloneness, inability to function, disconnect and a lack of support.

An individual’s reaction to stress can affect their relationships and family life, causing discord and isolation.   The trigger may be something current or an unresolved issue from the past.  Often  (talk therapy) is enough, but other techniques can be used to challenge thoughts, feelings and behaviors that may be contributing to the depression/anxiety.

The integration of a multidisciplinary approach, social justice and Mindfulness allows for deeper and more meaningful change to occur. Dis-Stress can be more complex in nature with a genetic component. A compassionate collaborative and holistic approach may be an appropriate option.
